Namaste! Thank you for visiting my page where I share my practice on and off the mat. I hail from the sunny shores of Singapore but really consider myself a citizen of the world. Presently, I live in Chennai, India, after a 5 year full time teaching contract at The Yoga Room in Hong Kong whom I still collaborate with, holding workshops, trainings and retreats around Asia.

I found Yoga in the midst of my career as a theatre and TV producer, and after more than 10 years in the arts and entertainment, I confronted the void in my life which opened my heart, mind and body to Yoga. The transformative shift after my first teacher training with Patrick Creelman awakened me to share the precious gift of Yoga with others.

I am deeply thankful to my teachers Sharon Gannon, David Life, Ruth Lauer-Manenti and my mentors Tina James, Jessica Stickler and the global Jivamukti community for their teachings of compassion as a path towards enlightenment and for sharing the joy of Bhakti and art of Nada yoga; infusing devotion, music and sound into my practice and teachings while threading meaningful and thought provoking spiritual themes into my classes.

My training with Paul Grilley in Yin Yoga provided me with the insight in recognising unique individual alignment; encouraging self expression while emphasising functional anatomy.

To create a more holistic approach to her practice and teachings, I also explored the ancient tradition of Ayurveda and studied with Mas Vidal, attaining a Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda specialist certification. I am always in awe of the beautiful miracle of life and hold a Birthlight Pre/Post Natal Yoga diploma to support the amazing women on the mat and as a certified Reiki Tummo practitioner, I believe in channeling Divine energy to balance and heal the body, mind and spirit in my classes.

My endeavours in Anti Gravity Yoga added a sense of playfulness to my classes and complements my stand on staying curious with a beginner’s mind and pushing boundaries to nurture, nourish and strengthen the connection we have with ourselves, with others and with the Divine.

I continue to explore various paths in my Yoga journey in India as I spend my time diving deeper into Yoga philosophy and Sanskrit at the Aurobindo Society in Pondicherry. As I turn inwards, my natural inclination of using mantra and nada (sound) in my practice and teaching led me to Anandra George whom I studied with, completing the Heart of Sound program in Mantra, Nāda and Bhakti Yoga. The opportunity to study and be in the presence of renowned Kirtanista and Bhakta, Jai Uttal furthered fuelled my Bhakti practice and reenergised my relationship with God through the practice of embracing these sacred sounds.

“The Yoga practice can never stop on the mat, it expands and extends beyond that.” This firm belief led me to where I am today. My community platform - Think Off The Mat, provides me with a voice to share my practice, on and off the mat, to serve and uplift all beings while holding a space where we recognise our highest Divine Self and the Divinity in all beings, realising the Oneness of Being while embracing the beauty that surrounds us all.

I humbly bow down to all my teachers and students - past, present and future, who continue to teach and inspire me through this lifelong journey of Yoga.
